Siva Nada was invited to speak at a seminar organised by the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee on the topic of injunctive relief in matrimonial proceedings in Malaysia.
The session covered the practical application of injunctions in divorce and matrimonial disputes — including prohibitive injunctions, Mareva injunctions to preserve assets pending the conclusion of proceedings, and the boundaries the courts have drawn on their use in family law matters.

Drawing on Siva’s litigation experience under the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976, the talk addressed common scenarios where one party seeks to restrain the disposal of matrimonial assets, the threshold the court applies before granting interim relief, and how counsel can frame applications to maximise the prospects of success.
